Georgia dad arrested for leaving boy, 6, alone in car for 40 minutes to have dinner with girlfriend half his age
"A Georgia dad was arrested for leaving his 6-year-old son in the car so he could finish a meal with his girlfriend, who is nearly half his age, police said Monday.
Aric Keck, 51, and Jacqueline Tabb, 26, were charged with reckless conduct after abandoning the boy for about 40 minutes in Alpharetta last month, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported."

Georgia dad gets life without parole for starving 10-year-old daughter to death, burning body
" A Georgia man who starved his daughter to death and then burned her body has been sentenced to life behind bars without parole.
Eman Moss, whose 10-year-old daughter, Emani Moss, was found dead in a Gwinnett County trash can in 2013 after he called 911 in distress, learned his dark fate Friday."

" The casino-crazed parents of two young Brooklyn girls abandoned their children in their SUV for more than an hour to go gambling, police said Saturday.
Maria Loja and Segundo Japa left their daughters, ages 6 and 8, in their vehicle outside Resorts World Casino while they gambled inside on Friday night, cops said."

"RICHMOND, Va. — A Virginia woman left her two children in a hot car while being booked on a charge of committing the same crime a couple of weeks earlier, police said Wednesday."

Washington dad facing sex charges related to 12 children fathered with women in secret 'cult'
"Two mothers are accused of standing by and doing nothing as their 12 children were physically and sexually abused by their father in what's being described by authorities as a secret 'cult.'
The sickening allegations involving Washington dad Melford Warren Jr., 43, led to one deputy calling it 'one of the worst cases of abuse we've ever seen,' Q13 News reported.
'These children were held against their will, denied nutrition, denied medical care, and physically and sexually abused,' Scott Wilson, of the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, told the station after asserting his claim.
Detectives say Warren's children, ranging in age from infanthood to 13, were taught to hide the abuse and never speak with police."

California mom leaves food, bedtime instructions for 4–year–old; goes out with friends
"A California mom abandoned her 4–year–old daughter at home for at least seven hours while she went out with friends, authorities said.
Bing Chen, 28, later told police the girl was fine because she'd left food and instructions telling her when to eat and go to bed, cops said.
Neighbors told investigators they'd heard a child crying since about 3 p.m. on Monday and finally called the manager of the Rancho Cucamonga apartment complex about 8:25 p.m.
The mom finally returned about 10:30 p.m. Speaking through an interpreter, she told the deputy she'd gone to San Diego with her friends.

"Cops are still trying to determine how the 3–year–old managed to gain possession of the weapon, but Williams described the firearm as 'untended.' He said that at least one adult was home at the time of the fatal shooting, ABC 5 reported."

Oregon couple charged with starving 7–week–old son to death while mom used breast milk in online porn: police
"An Oregon couple accused of letting their 7–week–old starve to death son admitted to producing fetish videos using the mom's breast milk, police said.
Stephen Michael Williams Jr. and Amanda Marie Hancock were charged with murder by abuse Tuesday after an autopsy revealed their infant son, Data Toria Hancock, died from starvation last month."

"(CNN)—A 7–year–old Pennsylvania boy beaten for sneaking food was nearly starved and weighed only 25 pounds when he arrived at a hospital, authorities said. The boy sometimes ate insects he caught on his porch."
