9 LSU frat bros arrested on hazing-related charges
"BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State University announced the arrests Thursday of nine fraternity members for hazing-related crimes that included ordering pledges to lie in piles of broken glass, kicking pledges with steel-toed boots and urinating on them. The men arrested, ranging from ages 19 to 23, were members of Delta Kappa Epsilon. The university said their charges range from misdemeanor hazing to felony second-degree battery and false imprisonment, as the university toughens its approach to such incidents after the death of a pledge in a fraternity drinking ritual more than a year ago."

Hot sauce in eyes, body slamming alleged during hazing at Iowa frat
"IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) -- Recently released documents from the University of Iowa detail alleged hazing and alcohol abuse that led to a campus ban of the Beta-Rho Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. According to a letter, sent to Paul Arnal, president of the chapter, university officials accused the fraternity of seven school code violations during six instances that took place in the fall of 2018. The instances were detailed as follows: -Placed the 2018 pledge class in a room and told them they needed to finish all the alcohol in the room, including bottles of hard liquor, cases of beer, and bottles of wine, in a small allotted amount of time. The majority of the 2018 pledge class consists of underage students. -The 2018 pledge class was told to carry a book about the fraternity and not put it down. Alcohol was involved in this incident and members who did not comply with the requirements were put through a ritual known as "the gauntlet," which included physical assault with the use of body-slamming and forcing members to fight through a wall of fraternity brothers."

Nine face charges in Florida State University fraternity death
" Nine men face charges in the death of a Florida State University fraternity pledge who died of acute alcohol poisoning. Andrew Coffey, a 20-year-old from the Fort Lauderdale area, was found dead in November after a night of partying that led his blood alcohol level to reach .558 at one point. Grand jury records from last month state that one fellow pledge waited before calling 911, and that members of Pi Kappa Phi "were more concerned about getting in trouble than they were about trying to save Coffey's life." Nine people, ranging in age from 20 to 22, now face charges of "College Hazing-Cause Injury or Death," according to a Tuesday night release from police in Tallahassee."

FDNY investigating possible sexual misconduct, hazing at Brooklyn's 'friendly firehouse'
" "The department's Equal Employment Opportunity Office and the bureau of investigation and trials are investigating all the allegations at the firehouse," FDNY spokesman Frank Dwyer said. Emails and phone calls to the FDNY's officers union, the Uniformed Fire Officers Association, for comment were not immediately returned. Last year the FDNY issued a stricter policy against firehouse hazing after a probationary smoke-eater sued the department, alleging sexual and racial harassment by fellow firefighters. Nigro was so incensed by the allegations he took the unprecedented step of calling all 900 FDNY officers to Randalls Island so he could personally deliver the department's tougher no-hazing policy."
