Sentenced For Promoting Sex Tours

OLONGAPO, Philippines — A British travel agent was sentenced to 16 years in prison today for promoting child sex tours in the Philippines.

The evidence presented against Michael Clarke included a brochure he allegedly distributed in London for an adult tour package.

Clarke, 50, of Eastbourne, Sussex said he will appeal the verdict. It was the third conviction of a foreigner in a 14-month government campaign against child abuse.
