Former YMCA Camp Counselor Bailbound for Two Newly Filed Sex Abuse Charges

DALLAS (AP) — A former YMCA camp counselor who was voluntarily castrated after being imprisoned for molesting 40 children was back in jail Wednesday on new sex abuse charges.

David Wayne Jones, 33, was arrested after a grand jury indicted him on charges of aggravated sexual assault involving two boys in the summer of 1990. If convicted, he faces five years to life in prison on each charge.

Jones was freed from prison earlier this month when he became eligible for mandatory release after serving nearly 13 years of a 15-year sentence for the molestations at the YMCA.

The new charges against Jones stem from the YMCA cases.
